IK lol, was just doing sarcasm. BTW, shit started to happen right a few months after Microsoft bought Mojang: Coincidence? I think not (cit.) Anyway, I hear that connecting to ECC is often problematic when done without SquidHQ, so I think that custom JRE+Squid would be the only sensible option in the long term
I guess I've seen too many people saying that seriosly, hence the reaction Yeah, if Microsoft was a reason for Mojang to perform all these actions, I'm wondering what they were thinking. Looks like I'm lucky, it's been about a week since I play on ECC and I seem to be able to always connect while using an official launcher. If I heard right, ECC is apparently being blacklisted over and over again but andrew is somehow able to circumvent it, I guess by changing IP's? Anyway, I just installed SquidHQ just in case
What's the issue though? Is either Forge or LiteLoader not running? Or are both running and the mods haven't been loaded? More details please.
Optifine goes in mods, not in mods/1.11.2 (point B) you need MnmUtils in order for TabbyChat to work (point F)
Okay, so where can I get a copy of Optifine that doesn't require me to purchase something or gives me "extra" stuff when I try to d/l?
Even if you click the "Download" link and get ads, you should still be able to download it after the ads. But if you don't even want to watch the ads in the first place, then just use the "(mirror)" link. It's a contradiction in terms, but it's actually a more direct link.
Updated to 1.12. Could a mod change the title to "How to install ALL legal and useful mods for 1.12"? Thanks
a guy releases a super helpful mod and releases an update with one condition and we can't even follow that :/
^ Regarding -d64: As far as I know Solaris is the only OS using this argument, Windows and other systems base it on the bin directory. So, unless I missed something this option should be mostly unnecessary (well, unless someone is using Solaris). Regarding the Garbage Collection settings: I need a lot more time for research and testing, GC optimization is still on my long-term to-do list. I am not yet sure about -UseAdaptiveSizePolicy (as it shouldn't have any effect on the concurrent GC) and -XMSIncrementalMode (due to the size of -Xmx). -server should be fine (albeit possibly dependent on the player's preference).
Ugh. I didn't link to the direct download and stated multiple times that there's instructions to follow. I totally understand his "reward to regular followers" concept; however, despite the fact I explicitly subscribed to that thread a long time ago, I still fail to receive notifications: that's why I missed it in the first place. So, assuming that the notification system is faulty for other members as well, I judged that a link to the comment -not the download- with a big mention to the fact that there's instructions to be read and yadda yadda, was acceptable. I admit I could have avoided to link to anything in the first place, though; changing it right now. (however I can't see how saying "look, it's just in the public thread on minecraftforum" is much different tbh)
