Inspired by the classic American trivia game show, Jeopardy! has made its way onto EcoCityCraft - and you can play to win EcoDollar prizes! Want to put your brain to the test? Just read through the game rules and sign up below! Date and time of next game: Thursday, August 18, 12:30pm EST Game location: /warp dairyland in Legacy That's right, folks, the hit game show we all love will soon be playable on EcoCityCraft. Using real Jeopardy! questions from past episodes, three players will compete through three rounds in an effort to come out with the most cash. How it Works For those unfamiliar to the gameplay of Jeopardy!, a detailed, well-written explanation can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeopardy!#Gameplay . My version of Jeopardy! on EcoCityCraft will follow the same rules and procedures as the real game. Please read the above article to familiarize yourself with how the game will work. The game board is located at /warp dairyland in the Legacy world, straight ahead and past the fountain. The Questions I will be borrowing clues from previous episodes of Jeopardy!, as well as inserting a Minecraft-related category in Double Jeopardy with questions written by myself. To begin with, I'll probably pull questions from Kids Week episodes of Jeopardy!, which had questions aimed at 12-year-olds. If that's too easy, I'll begin to use real Jeopardy! clues. Rules for Contestants 1) All basic gameplay rules will be governed by the same rules used in real Jeopardy! games. Please see the attached article for more information. 2) While playing, you may not use nicknames, vanish, or fly. Do not attempt to look behind the game board. Doing so will result in a complete loss of rewards. 3) Answers and questions will be read in local chat. Do not speak in local chat during the game, unless specifically called on to answer a clue or during an intermission. 4) After buzzing in by hitting the wooden button, you will have ten seconds to type your answer. If you do not respond in time, you will be regarded as incorrect. 5) A 20-minute round timer will be in place during the Jeopardy and Double Jeopardy rounds. Come prepared to be at the town and play the game for 45 minutes. 6) Final Jeopardy wagers and answers must be pm'ed to me. Do not say your wagers or answers in local chat. 7) Do not tamper with any buttons, signs, or other pieces of the game. 8) Be respectful of other players and the game host. Use common sense. 9) If you would like any rules to be clarified, feel free to ask me before the game starts or during a break. Do not disrupt the flow of gameplay. These rules are subject to change, and I may add more rules at any time if I see the need. Prizes Yep, this is the fun part. Prizes will work like normal Jeopardy!; the first-place winner will take home all the cash they have won throughout three rounds. The second-place contestant will receive $2,000, and the third-place contestant will receive $1,000. I hope to keep this game without a buy-in fee. However, I'm not rich enough to do that for very many games, so if it comes to it, I will need to add in a small cost to play the game. If you would like to donate to help keep ECC Jeopardy! a free, fun game, I would sincerely appreciate it. Just catch me in-game or shoot me a forum PM. What a great contribution you are making to our community. PM me and we can discuss how I can help keep the game free and yet allow you to provide rewards for the players.
Future games may or may not be that early. It's early-ish for me too, and I'll absolutely try to do games at different times of the day to accommodate for people in other time zones. Will do. Thank you!
Thank you to @Drewbo_, @Tullypup12 and @ctop_1013 for playing! After the game was complete, @Drewbo_ came out on top with $7,400. @Tullypup12 came in second with $3,800, and @ctop_1013 had to leave the game early and ended up with $2,000. All players also received a bonus $3k for coming out and helping me try the game! I will be implementing several changes in future games. A 15-minute timer will be added to the first two rounds to help the game move more quickly and efficiently. Also, I will consider adding a category with questions specific to EcoCityCraft. Thank you Drewbo and Tullypup for the suggestions! @Canadian_Apple unfortunately did not make it to the game, so for some of the game, @ctop_1013 took his place. @Canadian_Apple, you have first dibs on joining the next game, but be sure to come on time. The date and time of the next game is still to be determined, but will likely be this Thursday or next Monday or Tuesday around 1:30pm EST. I am still accepting applications for three players for the next game!

Accepted. I'll also set the next game for Thursday at 10:00am PST. Yeah, I would like new players to play each time. Thanks though.
Have you considered inserting some advertisement during the show? After all, that's how free TV shows are funded and it would be oddly realistic to do the same. Just a random idea (I might even be interested in) p.s. it would make sense to put those ads only in local, obviously, however I'm not sure whether that would abide by chat rules. If you like the idea, you and the sponsors should check this first.
That's a good idea, but I'm not sure if I have anything to advertise for. I'm not very active on ECC anymore, and unless I get sponsorships, I don't know what I'd advertise for other than the game itself. i wasn't planning on doing it like that so more people can get the opportunity to play. Also, then I don't have to go get new clues every single game
