Lancaster, the most active town on the server, has a lot of history. Digging down on your plots reveals filled-in basements and sealed-off rooms, the only remnants of what was there before you. When I saw some pictures of historic Lancaster, I saw a pit where the "old town hall was", or where the train station is today. @jmichael214 let me fart around in the area underneath it, and while he wasn't looking I took screenshots Here's the train station in downtown. But something looks a bit off. This bit's boarded up, and the station as we know it's plopped down on top of it. There's also a mysterious looking door locked by @jmichael214. The signs read "There's quite seriously nothing interesting behind this door. Not even joking". You liar Inside this door, the street abruptly ends. The stained clay/stone brick/quartz wall is that of the museum. Through a narrow doorway, I'm greeted with this sight and can see the boarded-up windows from the inside. There's a list of the 40 founders of Lancaster written on signs. I remember coming in here before it was abandoned, just looking at that sign for a minute as I explored the town. And then I forgot about it. The next room is remarkably similar. Empty with blocked off windows. I can see where @jmichael214 and @gstoner3 carved into this building to build the station. It is, for all intents and purposes, plopped down on top of this. There's a staircase though. Well, a hole. This predates even the abandoned building as I remember it. Down the hole are two empty rooms. In this one there are a bunch of chests locked by different people. Holes in the floor meant I had to be careful. There'a another odd thing and an archway. And another staircase. I think I'm walking into a cult meeting Nope! Just another creepy room and a hallway. The room's nothing remarkable, really. Just spooky. You can see why I had to be careful on the other floor. Dem holes doe The hallway seems like it goes on forever. "Haha jk nub" -Hall, probably. So that's it! I just thought I'd share this because I think you guys might find this as cool as I did! I'm a history nut and love abandoned stuff, and Lancaster has a ton of history.
They were the original town hall. the chests were repair chests, there was an enchanting table area, anvil, potion stands, etc. for everyone to use. Mostly it was created and used during the first 2 towns purchased in the Arcadia area (there are now 16, counting the farm town in Legacy) Mostly, the reason it's boarded up is because Mike couldn't come up with a good stairway on the inside
I started in Lancaster just before those areas were boarded off. My question is -- is the old cooker gone? it is covered with stairs now..... almost no delay.... it was soooo nice
The older cooker is gone, I installed a new one I don't think it has anything to do with certain cookers or delay it just happens.
The real Lancaster is like an hour away from me, can confirm there are no secret rooms under the train station.
Sorry, the old cookpot interfered with my plans for that staircase. It was the first town feature, though. Everyone always overlooks the two truly oldest buildings in town, probably because they're so ugly. But I did put them in a museum....
