Well, I noticed this happening yesterday and after more people said they were getting the same issue i figured its not my laptop suddenly going out. In short, If i stand still the chunks try to reload suddenly or the screen flickers. Iv even had it where it failed to load and i'm just walking on a white background. Apparently people have been experiencing this ever since the restart. I'm using squid and my windows is windows 8.1, Minecraft version 1.11.2, graphic's card has been updated fully. I'm making a report because since more people have been experiencing it only on ecc I think its a server side issue. If you have this problem too it might help to put if your using squid, what minecraft version and what windows version to help track the issue i think. (Could also i guess be a number of peoples graphic cards going on the fritz but unlikely if its only happening while on ecc..)
This started happening to me when the new spawn was put in. Constant reloading and walking on a white background.
This happens to me as well. Been a couple days for me. Also, just today, a black box pops up for a couple seconds and disappears. The box reminds me of a command box, like where you type in commands for your PC... kinda like a small window opening on your PC and it's all black in the background. I don't know how else to describe this. It happens so fast I can't get a pic or I would. :/ It happens at random and no one else says they have this issues, so I hope it's not this piece of crap PC or a virus.
Since the server has been back up this last time, it's happened to me once, but so far only that one time. If it happens again I'll post here and let you know.
Since that restart I haven't had that white background problem, yet the reload glitch is still an issue.
New problem, when I tp from world to world i'm walking on a black background now, even when breaking blocks to reset chunks, still nothing. It required me to relog.
This ^ It's happened about 4 times to me so far today. edit: I'm not having the problem Piggy is, mine is what strong said in her original post, like my screen glitches out for a couple seconds, but I don't use squid. I use the normal launcher.
Update: loading problem has not changed, It seems to happen more often when theres more players online too which is weird.
It still has been happening to still since this afternoon but I feel like the flashy twitchy reload chunks refresh thing happens way less but half my view still regularly randomly unloads especially if I stand still a while for some reason or if I warp somewhere new but it usually reloads eventually without needing a restart. It's very sudden so like others say hard to capture.
