The market is very... Secluded. I also agree that some shops don't get the full attention as others do but I wouldn't see a huge benefit for creating a huge new market.
Each shop has its own designated warp. All users can use warps. The layout was designed to have both prime and not-prime shops, including shops with location advantage and shops without much location advantage. Advertise your warp enough and you'll get the foot-traffic that you need.
-1 I visit every shop in the marketplace at least once or twice a day to check for certain items. Even though I agree that the market is a bit secluded I don't think there is any problem when it comes to people checking all the shops. Just my two cents. I wouldn't be opposed to a new market, but I don't think there are too many potential benefits to changing it.
I mean, you being offline doesn't stop people from using your shop if they know about it. Hence the advertising when you're around. When I go to work my shop still makes several hundred thousands in transactions when I'm gone, and its because they know its there, due to my previous advertising, but me being offline doesn't stop people from going there. Word also gets out among players if you offer something a lot of players need/want.
Don't forget we have 3 main places for advertising, those being, Discord 'Market' channel, forum 'Ads' section and the famous /ch tr. If you advertise it frequently then players are likely to use your shop on and offline.

I see no issues with the current design. You can advertise in game (/ch tr), on the forum (classifieds section), and even on our discord (market channel). Plenty of ways to get your shop known.
