In Game Name: AyriiaWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: Main ServerShort title for your suggestion: Enable Region Command "Redefine"What are you suggesting: I had previously made a suggestion to add "/rg select" for use in expanding and selecting an area(which was accepted). Recently discovered while you can select and expand your existing region, you cannot save the progress. To save the progress we would need access to this command: Redefine /rg redefine [-g] /rg update (...) /rg move (...) Changes the physical area associated with an existing region and replaces it with your current WorldEdit selection. Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: If this could be added in, it would greatly help with managing towns and farms.Other information: Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
+1 I don't really know too much about town control and commands within it, but @Ayriia explained it a bit to me and this would be very helpful I believe, as it would save the progress.
+1 This would save a lot of time because in order to redefine a region right now, you need to delete it and remake it.
You're not getting access to redefine because that would allow you to move/resize towns, etc. GAs don't even have access to that.
Well technically there is plot specific commands for plot placement and plot deletion or we'd be able to delete towns on accident. I have very little doubt that the brilliant minds at ECC could find a way to make a plot specific resize command.
Well said. WorldGuard/Edit/etc are very complex plugins and highly configurable. If I thought the dev team would be wasting time adding this or even trying to make this work I wouldn't have suggested it. They're busy enough.
That's plenty true. I was saying the specific thing the suggestion is asking for won't happen. Could a custom approach to how we treat plots solve the issue? Of course it could. A custom solution just seems like a lot when it is, in essence, saving typing one command.
We will not be dedicating large development time to save a few seconds. Seriously not needed and our dev backlog is huge. PS: This would actually be a custom project with a massive amount of checks/testing/debugging involved, literally not going to be spending large sums of money to perfect something like this, to once again, save a few seconds. Totally silly, sorry.
