I don’t even know off hand what the other link is, but the link to the application IS the most important one. The question is ALWAYS where do I apply? That help is the easiest way to direct them besides giving them the link. Even as staff I was never a link fetcher, So this enables them to get the link to the application.
Okay, so first I'm gonna leave a picture of how it currently displays so people can quickly understand what we are talking about. Spoiler: /help ranks Spoiler: /help <rank> I can see that having both links can be a bit confusing if you aren't familiar with the server and it's forums. Maybe it would be better to just move the link to all the applications into /help ranks. And leaving the direct one on the specific chaper for each rank. On a side note, it might good to mention on /help ranks that you can do /help <rank> for additional info.
Agreeing with what Fon said... put the "Apply Via" link on the /help ranks page (Because so many people get directed here and they don't READ use /help <rankname> therefore it's not helping them get to any applications. Then put the direct application link as the only link under the specific page such as /help resident. 1 link in each help.
I won't add more to '/help ranks' then there already is. Adding a longer link/line to overshadow "Use /help <rank> for more info" isn't helpful if users are already having trouble reading. It says to apply on the forums via /help ranks. Then you are instructed to /help <rank> All ranks now just have their direct form links. Removed the extra general applications link. Marking in progress until changes go live.
