remove or reduce apples in farming jobWhat are you suggesting:
with apples only dropping 0.665% of the time with a fortune hoe, apples are difficult to acquire a whole stack. If the amount of apples was reduced to say 8 or 16, it would make it far easier and worthwhile to complete the farming job. I honestly would like to see it removed from the farming job as it is obtained from tree farming and not crop farming. even without apples the farming job is a tall order requiring 9 other full stacks. Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:
An alternative approach could be to make apples an independent job like the "bush gatherer" job, which is honestly faster than collecting a full stack of apples.
Players (especially new ones) wouldn't have to spend an hour destroying leaves to get a stack of apples and helps them advance just a little quickerOther information:

Maybe not entirely remove, but to reduce the number of apples I also agree with. It makes that job just a bit harder for newer players, but I will argue the counter point that, it really does make someone train up that woodcutting McMMO experience!

a 1 in 200 chance to get an apple without fortune. that means even to get 8 apples its 1600 leaves broken. seems illogical to keep it. and woodcutting can be trained doing oak woodcutter, woodcutter and leafblower. less is better than currently, but still leaves it as an undesirable job.

Still +1'ing this since Clar went on record saying /jobs is meant for newer players, but keep in mind apples drop from MCMMO Excavation too (not to mention are easier to obtain with a Magic Axe)
Maybe lower to 32 and/or increase the payout -
If a new player had access to a $1m tool they probably wouldnt be doing jobs. I just tested the magic axe and got 17 apples from 35 trees. So even with a magic axe you would need almost 140 trees (at 32 apples, you'd still need to chop down 64 oak trees). As for excavation I dug up 1000 dirt before i picked up my first apple.
I still stand that it would be better as its own independent job. even if the farmer job went to $2000 instead of $2500 and the $500 was then added to a job for 1 stack of apples.
edit: the 1000 dirt to pick up an apple is at excavation 1000+ too -
