Most people do not think of this, But real ads do indeed cost money! I am suggesting that ECC would edit the chat system so that if you post a trade ad, It would charge you a set amount of andrewkm 's choice.

I disagree with this because it wouldn't help the economy in any way. Believe it or not, I actually like having an active trade chat rather than a slow one (besides people spamming of course), and this system would only encourage less ads.
Plus it would cause players to lose motive to sell things as they'd probably lose more advertising than actually from the sales they get.
Besides... if someone really wants to have their message stand out, they can /shout for 1k!-

This would hurt the economy. Ad fees will only discourage trading and purchases between players which is what actually drives economic growth (not server-side inflows and outflows).-
