    reduce prices of towns! and transfers!

    transfers -> 100k
    towns after president -> 150k

    nearly everyone agrees deals involving residents selling towns to get mayor are predatory and not in the residents best interest. however the only way to effectively kill this practice is to render it obsolete and force it out of the market.

    a: good for you! not really relevant, we've reduced town prices drastically before.

    q: but nicit, what about inflation! towns are a money sink!
    a: sure, but you have to realize that more people will likely be buying towns at these prices. not hard to believe since additional towns rarely ever sell, and it's even rarer for them to be any more than town 3 or 4 (220k and 280k).

    q: what about land? surely there's some limit to the land on ECC and after 5 years a lot must be taken!
    a: not nearly as much as you'd expect. each of ECC's town worlds are 30k by 30k. Fit to maximum capacity of 200x200's that's 150 towns to a side. so 150 towns times 150 towns times 2 worlds. that gives us a theoretical maximum of 45,000 towns. just look at the maps in this thread, there's a lot of empty space we haven't used yet

    Though I personally think it should be a bit lower, like 120k, as I don't believe 150k is low enough to stop a lot of people from wanting to buy resident towns for 85k (almost half the price). 120k sounds more reasonable to me.

    Yes! I'm not paying 500k another 3+ times to fill in space of my nation. So I've gone with the cheaper option, buying residents mayor for their town..

    I'm kind of trying to balance a cheap price while not making president a whole lot more than the towns. 120k would work, although it's still 35k more expensive than mayor so if people are just looking at price they'll still go after that. I don't really think the additional 30k bump will make a huge difference.

    It's about how people relate prices. "almost double the price of" sounds a lot more intimidating than "35k more".

    Personally I think the idea is amazing +1
    Additional towns:
    I would just want to change the numbers a little bit (I know Potatoes inc) I think the scaling price is a good Idea, Still keeping a Cost Cap.
    Lets stay starting around 150k going up to 250k, scaling 25k each? something simple not breaking the bank but still half the price of right now.
    My idea is not to just 'give away' additional towns, Nations Take Money!

    Town Transfers: being at 100k-125k would be a good price. Price of town + TownTransfer + Town Feature, I understand that Towns/nations cost a good amount of money, But that adds up quickly.

    Hopefully with Additional towns decreasing in price, Town Transfers will also Decrease and people buying mayor for builders/residents will also decrease.
