PLEASE SEE MY LATEST POST TO THE THREAD.

I'm going to try something new here. I'm going to open up a mutual fund here on ECC. A little about myself, I've been trading since 2014, and in 2015 I think it was, there was a stock challenge here on ECC with a top prize of an iPad Mini. Needless to say, I won that challenge and got an awesome iPad Mini! Thanks again for that @andrewkm ! So I have some experience with picking stocks and doing well with them. I've traded in real life as well.

(Currently NO Shares Left of the Initial Offering)
The initial offering will be 3500 shares at $1,100 ECD per share. I am reserving 1500 shares for myself, so 5000 shares total in the fund. I will post the share values, which are based on the stocks in the portfolio, every weekend. If you would like to cash in on your shares, just let me know and I will process the withdraw as soon as possible. I will take $100 of the initial $1,100 share price as a commission fee for running the fund.

Updates (To Include Profits for the week):
Update 1: I'm reserving 100 shares for myself, so there are 900 total to others.
Update 2: Fund Profits as of 4 Mar 2016
    Profit Margin: $45,145.00 (6.09%)
Update 3: Due to popular demand for shares, the initial offering is now 5k shares total

The fund will be out of my portfolio, which I will make public so you can see what stocks are in the fund and what it's worth.

Edit: I'm going to use my current portfolio to start it off. It's already up over 5% in one day so far. It's all in Tech stocks right now, but I will be diversifying into other sectors soon.

I will guarantee 50% of all shares in the fund myself! This means that should the market tank, and the total fund value drops below 50% of the initial value, you will be guaranteed to get 50% of your share purchase price (this will be $1,100 minus the $100 that goes to me) back! You will get $500 ECD per share back no matter what! This is a little cushion just in case something goes horribly wrong. I personally guarantee that, and if I don't hold up to that, I will make sure that @andrewkm or an admin bans me from the server!

TL;DR I guarantee you wont ever lose more than 50% of the initial share price, or I get banned!

I will keep track of how many shares people own in the below comment.

If you have any questions about this, please let me know. Just PM me or post here in the thread.

    *Note*
I will limit the number of shares per person to 100 shares max for now. This may change in the future. This is also a work in progress, so if terms change, you will be notified on here and via a PM if you're a share holder.

Awesome, so $110,000 ECD total. If you could send it via the forums that would be AWESOME. If not, I can get in game in about an hour, probably a little less. I'm going to add a note up top too, but the portfolio is already going, and it's at just over 5% gain. I'm just using my own stocks I bought yesterday and today to get it going. So you can check that out now.

How do shareholders make a profit? When and how do we decide to cash in?

You make profit as the overall portfolio makes profit. Say you see it up like 10% after a few days and you decide that's where you want to cash out, just shoot me a PM and I'll take profits divided by 1000 shares (to figure out how much each share would get of the profits) and send it to you plus your initial investment of $1,000 (minus $100 for the initial commission fee).

Say I bought a hundred shares, and I saw your portfolio up 25% and decided to cash out then, how much would I be paid?

Also, the current portfolio has around $741k initial investment. I'll just put the remaining amount up to 1Mil total investment into it. That way it's the 1000 share value already invested. All of that is from me, but that's just to get it started. So basically I have 741 shares right now, but I will sell those shares as people fill up the initial 1000 shares. Sorry, might not make sense because of how I'm starting it and explaining it. I just jump started it basically and those getting in now are already up technically :p

You would get $125k for your 100 shares. The 25% would be figured like this, 100 shares times 1000 = $100K then multiply that by 25% to get $25k. So your initiall $100k plus the profit of $25k for a total of $125k back. The shares would be worth $1,250 each at that point.

what about the 10% commission (100 shares = 110000$ but your only using 100k of it for stocks) that we need to pay u when we invest?
so If your stocks went 10.01%+ then your in profit right?

The 100 extra is a fee that goes straight to me as a commission fee for running the fund.

I'd like 10 shares. Do I pay via the forums? I transferred the 11k to my forums account.

I'm interested and want to buy probably 100 shares, but I have a question: are you going to buy&sell stocks (I mean forum ecc stocks, not shares of your fund) depending on what you expect of them in a relatively short span; or are you going to keep the same stocks for a long time? I imagine the first strategy can yield much more if you know how to move and I kinda recall reading somewhere in forum that you have a very sound background in that; however I'm asking the question because I'm curious as to how you/we will keep track of the whole portfolio: when you sell some stocks and buy some others, the profit you got from the ones you sold doesn't count up to your forum portfolio profit anymore. So will you keep track of that separately (maybe in this very thread, with a detailed history of when you bought and sold which stocks, how many and how much for)? If so, I'm all in!
There's no need to remind me that I'm a pain in the ass, I already know that

Ok, I'll have 100 shares then, as anticipated. Should I pay you 110k, or a value increased correspondingly to the current profit of your portfolio? (if so, please tell me the exact amount -just to be sure I don't overlook anything- and I'll pay you via forum asap)
