    Admins does anyone know when you are going to be able to change your name with 1.8 without having to pay for a "nickname". This gamertag was made back when I was a member of a gaming community that I am no longer a member of.

    The 1.8 name change will be blocked by ECC.
    If you don't want the name, you will either have to buy nick or get a new minecraft account and start over...

    It won't be available for you to use on ECC for a while after it's out. I know Andrew is looking into a way to incorporate it but right now it's on the back burner. I suggest you not change your ign though in the meantime because you will be blocked from the server if you do.

    Don't change your name if you want to play on ECC. I will be changing my name, but that is because I no longer play. (and don't want a username that makes me appear as a seven year old)
