I just don't see this as really mattering and so not worth it if it isn't like a literal 2 second fix.

 

I agree with Nicit. I have never once seen this be an issue. Shall we ban signs and book n quills too because a muted person can communicate still?

borderline is, why spend hours making custom code on an issue that probably never ever happened, and if it did, is super rare

 

If its not an issue, its not worth the time

 

Link them then if there is a report. Show us the issue. I’m not going to scroll through all of your posts for one specific report. Convince us it’s an issue, don’t tell us it is then tell us to find the proof ourselves. Clearly, there are a bunch of people who don’t see this as an issue, so change our minds.

 

In this complaint he clearly mailed you before being muted, so it's not really relevant here.

Dude was unmuted on the 6th. Picture you linked was from today (11days later)

 

If staff know of the issue, they can respond here or accept the change. I can't really ask about mutes as those are considered personal.

All I’m saying is in my 7 years on this server and half a year+ on the staff team, I never once seen a complaint or issue with someone using mail to bypass a mute.

Also, @Nicit6 was on the staff team longer than me and was one of the highest staff members, so he would have better insight here

 

Three people, but whatever “mate.” I’m sharing what I know, asking for proof of an issue, etc. I’m not disagreeing with you. I even suggested this a while back. All I’m saying is what Andrew basically said: if it’s not that big of an issue, then it’s not worth all that time for custom code (as Nicit said, this isn’t a 2 second fix. It’s probably days of coding tbh). If it’s a huge issue, then I agree, but if not, I don’t agree. Andrew has enough on his plate right now.

Why are you being so fucking rude to @kkha ?? I've also had this problem with people mailing me when I'm muted and its annoying as fuck, removing someone's /mail perms when they are muted is simple af to do and won't affect you negatively if its implemented. It will only bring relief to the people who have been spammed, why -1 that?
Just because its not a problem for you, that doesn't mean its not a problem at all

To quote Nicit, a long-time staff member and Ex SeverAdmin+, it might not be a 2 second fix. If I'm making an inference, to make this happen, it will take many, many hours to rewrite the /mail and /mute systems to accommodate this. As I mentioned earlier, if there is a large-scale issue, then I agree with this suggestion. However, I have never seen nor heard of this being an issue in my seven years on the server. If my being rude earlier was asking for proof of this being an issue, then I guess disagreeing with anything ever is being rude as well.

I'm not a monster who disagrees and cannot be convinced otherwise. If it is an issue, then I agree it needs to be changed.
