From every perspective, this is a good idea if possible. It will keep town permissions cleaner, make the time rentals strictly enforceable and therefore more viable in the player to player market, and allow Mayors to do other more creative things in their towns where the barrier of removing permissions manually may be a discouraging factor, like hosting their own minerun-esque event.
It would probably be difficult to do different measurements of time. Like being able to say 1day 15 hours 34 mins would be too hard to code. It would be easier to have a universal measurement like hour only. For 1 day it would be 24 hours. For 30 mins it would be 0.5 hours.
what about creating a new set of permissions that one could grant. Instead of limiting the ones that previously exist.
