I really think this is hurting our player base and let me tell you why. When a resident hears that they will get a free rank up in exchange for their town, they think hey why not let me just get this free rank and do not realize the consequences. Depending on how long the user has been playing they do not realize all the perks of having their own town they are losing. 1) In order to get their own town as a mayor they would have to buy president 180k more than double the mayor price to get original ownership. 2) Sure they can buy a random town for 20k off the market, but they cannot place warps, flags, anything. Pretty much ruining any chance of them creating their own nation/having a project which would keep them active and interested in the server. Giving them the rank of mayor for practically free, they also have the mindset that money is very easy to come by and after mining for money with their builder pickaxe they are probably getting very frustrated and end quitting the server, thinking that they will never become successful. Sure there are those few that do not care about ranks like myself and will make money regardless, but we are basically cutting off those that do not realize how hard it is to create a town project once they sell their mayor town. All in all I really thing buying the resident's mayor towns is having a very negative affect on our new users.
i agree, i did that. not only do i have to get a new rank i wasnt even paid for the town, just 85k for rank
i thought you could do anything to a town such as flags ect. if you purchased it and became the mayor.
You make a good point. +1. However, I don't think people that have used most of their additional towns will like this idea.
But that is exactly it! Upper class players are swooping up 1 week old users who have no fucking idea what this server is about. I didn't know what the hell I was doing until 2 months of playing.
You need to be the original owner. If you sell your town to someone else and buy another town from a user off the market you will not be able to make flags etc
I'm not sure on this, but for now I guess it could take a +1, though when someone buys another user Mayor in exchange for their town the Mayor loses their town and that person will get their town and use it for something else, or sell it.

I am incorrect, i thought i read somewhere that a OG owner could transfer someone to be the The new owner and they could file the special applications.. This is either the original applicant or the player listed as "New Owner" in the town application. Only the official owner is able to file town feature applications.
Yea it was. I don't see why you are bringing this off topic. Who knows maybe that user would have created his own nation had we not bought him mayor. But at least it has become one of the most notorious /warps on ECC
how is it possible for @matrix_rep to buy warp debt? Ik Dccciz did but that's the problem if @matrix_rep wants a town and want to stay res because that's his thing how dose he get one with out ranking up a res?
I can buy a town I just would not be able to give it /warp things like that etc. A resident cannot add owners/remove owners but they can be owners. But lets keep this thread on topic which if preventing users to buy residents mayor in exchange for their one and only mayor town.
-1 No - It is the residents choice to get paid to rank up for their town, and even if the this was accepted and the transactions like this banned, the player base would still stay the same, and probably get worse as some people cant wait to rank up. I know from experience that I wanted to rank up to mayor in exchange for my town. Its not like they're being forced lol
