I cannot get liteloader to install properly for some odd reason. I installed the windows .exe file. I opened the .minecraft folder to try and find it to launch it and all i have is this no liteconfig folder or anything can anyone help?
The file you download from liteloader you need to open, then it should bring you to an installation thing, which will automatically set you up with a liteloader profile to log in with. You don't put liteloader in your mods folder or anything like that. If you go here: http://www.liteloader.com/download#snapshot_11220 and that will download the installer for you which like I said above will automatically make you a profile, and you don't need to touch anything in .minecraft, unless you want to add liteloader mods like macromod.
I usually read all H&S threads, with or without a tag. Alright. The liteloader-1.12.2-SNAPSHOT-release.jar from your screenshot is the extracted JAR file. I assume you opened the installer and then selected "Extract Liteloader jar", which (by default) extracts it to your .minecraft folder. The installer also has the "Install Liteloader" option (extend from 1.12.2), which will create a new profile (named "Liteloader 1.12.2" by default). Selecting that profile after the installation should run MC with Liteloader. Minor correction: You don't have to. The "Install Liteloader" option doesn't need it, but if you decide to extract the JAR instead you have to move it to your mods/1.12.2 folder because the purpose of that extracted jar is to be loaded with Forge (which is usually my preferred installation method because I use Journeymap).
I tried to extract it after the install. When i installed it no profile popped up on my MC profiles thats the problem.
