By chance, were you shift-clicking it into your inventory, or clicking one by one on the output slot of the furnace?
I shift-clicked the stacks into my inventory, but shouldn't matter for smelting. For other smelting quests, the quest progress was counted as soon as the block was smelted.
Did you walk away from the furnace? I had the smooth basalt mission not register occasionally if I walked too far away from the furnace (but not far enough for the furnace to stop smelting)
maybe an issue with ownership? I know when clar updated the quests the other day my ownerships went all out of wack and I had to redo them to get them working properly again
Thanks for the suggestion! I was very optimistic that this was going to fix it, but unfortunately after running /jobs clearownership and reregistering the furnaces, I am still not seeing any quest progress.
