red stone ore to dust useing furnace

    I was smelting some iron and mistakenly put red stone ore in the furnace. It gave me 1 redstone dust was confused. Not sure if its a bug or just a really bad way to get dust.

    I think this is intended, nether quartz ore works the same way. But don't take my word for it.

    It isn't a bug, that is part of the vanilla game.

    It was added for the low chance that you only have a silk touch pick, so that you can get the dust.
