It is my belief that we should have the ability to file an app for a town name to be changed and to be able to specify a warp name preference. I personally along with I'm sure many others have warp names that are so long and complicted that it is difficult for town members to remember and spell. eg. aydindrilkeep could be abbreviated to ak instead to make it simpler for players to remember. And towns change hands now more than ever and many times the towns get renovated over time or after possession changes. The ability to change the region name to something more fitting the new looks would seem appropriate. I do not know how difficult this would be to implement but I sincerely hope the staff consider this as a possibilty in the future of ECC. Thank-you. :)
And since portals are gone and /warp is now the main means of getting to a towns for many new players I beleive this has a renewed importance if we are to grow as a server. Many builders set their only home in mining while using the warp to get back to their respective towns. Ease of using this feature should be seriously considered.

Well I beleive the regions could be done by simply removing the region and re-adding it under the new name. Idk for sure but it seems logical. Though I do agree it would likely be a hefty price in order to do so. But the freedom of being able to would be amazing.

 

I'm not sure if it has or hasn't been denied in the past, but the town relocation only allows for a difference up to 100 blocks away from the original coords. not enough to move the entire town far enough away in order to place a new one in the same location.

 

I supoose you could yes, but that seems like a colossal waste of staff time and ECD. Not to mention having an odd size town :p
