I don't think this will ever happen. Because there is always the possibility of falsely wiping someone's stats, when they did not in fact hack.
Not if you wait to do it until on their appeal. Then if it was false, they don't get wiped. No point really doing it before the appeal anyway.
But what if staff are positive the user hacked but they in fact did not? I'm just saying that people make mistakes.
If we're positive, what would prove that we're wrong? (I'm not saying that we're never wrong, but if we're positive the chances of us accepting an appeal where they don't admit is very slim)
I know what you mean, I just meant that like you said, people make mistakes. I have just seen appeals later changed after they have been accepted/denied in the past.
+1 I agree because hackers have it easy; Hack However they do it I don't know and don't care Make Money Get banned Appeal Repeat I would want to be a hacker for money, but since hacking is wrong, I won't do it.
It is similar to why users are never (truly) perma banned I believe. There is a lot of risk involved if a mistake is made.
