You are using the wrong machines. Those machines are for tokens, not regular stars. Please use the center area for regular stars. None the less, I've reported this bug to the developer to help assist with the message that's shown when using the wrong machine.
This has been fixed and will be live after our next maintenance period. @Darth_Hydraxis please test this and confirm in about 6 hours from the time of my response here.
