Disconnect while you afk so that when you get online you get your pm's.

Mail seem pointless because like 50% of all of ECC's commands will return a message saying "You've got mail!!11!1!!"

As for pm's... isn't the point of an afk to tell people you aren't there and to mail you/whatever?

 

Step 1. Return from being afk
Step 2. Announce in global that you're back from being afk
Step 3. People that previously pm'd you will pm you again
Step 4. Do /bal, /home, /seen, or basically any other command, this will also notify you of any messages sent to you recently.

 

Every command you type in will alert you of any new mails.

Usually it is best to log out if you are going afk. That way, you do not have to worry about PMs. Otherwise, have your afk message forward people to mailing you, get a mod like TabbyChat, or get a mod that logs chat.

I would be more annoyed from a chat spam of missed messages and mail than I would be with anything else, so I'm -1.

 

Just say in the AFK message to "/mail me". That will help, a lot.
