[Suggestion] Ban Casinos

-731; it's all your choice whether or not to play at a casino. And besides, not all casinos are scams.

 

I have an idea to prevent casinos that scam people, a moderator will inspect it and place a sign saying that it is legit and reliable and trustworthy. The mod will also lock the sign so that when players click on it they see proof that an actual moderator has inspected it.

 

make fair casino
have mod approve it
rig it
advertise the fairness of your casino
scam everyone


Also not mentioning the thing where officially endorsing user made casinos is bad.
We don't endorse gambling games. (Lottery is a slightly different system, still gambling, but no casino gambling)

I feel that I may provide my point of view, I ran a casino that had 15+ people in it all the time. My game is a simple 2x2 roulette game, it is 50/50 no way to rig it, only way possible is having someone invis pushing the cart and if that is the case I simply ban them from my town, and give the user a re roll (has happened once). Now I have had people walk out on me with 10k, 20k, 50k, all the way up to 145k, it is all risk and chance. Study the casino you are going to be playing at and stay away from redstone as that is what is usually rigged. If you every want to bet find someone that is trusted such as myself or other well known casino hosts. Don't go to a builder breaking gravel or something dumb like that, go to a president + with a game that is impossible to rig (mechanical not redstone). Now you may say that I have redstone in my roullette, indeed I do, just 1 rail and is ran by the redstone ore underneath it, that is there to randomize the speed at which I push it. My game is 50/50 in average and out of 100 spins 43 landed on red, and 57 landed on blue. Casinos should not be banned they are a point of the economy just cause you see builders scamming doesn't mean all casinos should be banned you should just be smart and observe the machine you are betting at. Betting at a builders casino is like betting in a casino ran by 5 year olds. Be smart, all I can say. TomKellyCreeper

 

What's wrong with breaking a gravel block as a game of chance? afaik you can't control where it will land.

 

I guess that game is ok there is just alot of things that can go wrong. Do that game at your own risk however if you see a giant redstone machine I recomend staying away.

 

No, the smaller the redstone machine, there is a tiny bit more chance or doesn't work and it is rigged.

 

I've seen rigged machines using 5 redstone.

Its like lotto. You win by not playing. And anyways, casinos are stupid, and you shouldnt play in them if your just going to complain.

You don't even need redstone to have a machine rigged. You can just tell people that if you put a diamond in the hopper you have a chance of receiving a diamond block. But all there really is a hopper leading to a locked chest.

But my point is, if a redstone slot machine is bigger, it has a tiny bit higher chance of being not rigged.

I am sorry i said it a bit differently before.
