Been suggested multiple times in the past and all of them were denied/locked/dead threads. I don't see how this one would be the turning point of all those suggestions. -1
Disagree, speaking as a fairly hardcore gamer, there are several ways to get around chat filters. Putting periods in the middle of them, replacing letters. What this plugin would do is cause builders to try and find ways to swear in global, causing more of an issue than we already have. -1
-1 We have mods that are able to control almost all situations. Typically the swearing isn't severe enought that it's such a huge problem mods can't handle it.
o.o Wow, I was just about to put up a suggestion for this too... And just because I found it, I'm going to be putting the link to what I was going to suggest here. Spoiler: What I Was Going to Suggest. Well... :/ Here you go.
The problem with using a plugin to censor swear words is that there are two types of players: - Players who only occasionally swear, where a simple staff warning is more than enough to handle the situation. - Players who live to cause problems, and who know and will use every way to bypass the list of blocked words, causing staff (most likely Andrew/Revan) to constantly have update said list, and are most likely going to be banned by staff after a few instances anyway. I'm more than happy to give up my time to save Revan or Andrew some.
mods waste time warning people, mods waste more time figuring out which words to ban. (because people WILL bypass it) A plugin like this will not fix the problem, it will just aggravate users and make the problem worse.
