Yes we shall No just kidding. Furnaces anyone can make. Cooking pots are a donation feature and you need someone or the feature for one. This would raise sales in extcreations+, and would add to the worth of the cooking pots.
Yeah but instant is just OP. It removes the element of smelting. Everything is done instantly. There's no point to have smelting recipes anymore.
smelting recipes? paying $60 is worth approximately 300k of in game ecodollars so having it insta-smelt in my opinion is worth it.
Yes of course, but it ruins the point of smelting. If I could fire up a chest that automatically generated me melons then melon farming would be useless. Same with having an INSTANT cooking pot. Smelting is useless.
First off, there is no chest that generates melons. Next, the only point of smelting is to turn ores into ingots, a cooking pot does the same thing, you put ores in and ingots come out, it doesn't give you more than what you put in it so the only benefit of having a cooking pot over a regular old furnace is in fact the speed at which it smelts, without that speed I agree with shane. The only benefit of extcreations+ is making the cooking pots, people don't typically buy extcreations+ for the light reading or paint switching abilities. However not having extcreations+ I don't know why users with that particular donation actually got it, but personally the cooking pot is the only reason I would actually purchase extcreations+
No no, your not getting my point If I could smelt instantly, there wouldn't even be a need for smelting. It would be the same as just hitting the letter B on your keyboard and having ingots in your hand. Which is the reason why we need a cooking pot that is fast, but not instant. And the point of smelting is not just to cook ingots. It's for all kinds of things. Ingots, stone, food, ect.
-1 I got a cooking pot because I could cook/smelt large batches. I was always wasting fuel in furnaces doing one stack or less at a time. I was very happy when I saw how fast the pot smelted, but that wasn't why I got it. Back to the point: instant smelting in a pot seems pointless. To echo what Jason was saying, why not just make it a command '/smelt hand' or '/smelt all' if it is going to instantaneous; Why have a cooking pot at all at that point?
