I think staff takes this into account when actually handling the appeal, so I don't see it necessary to do this when you can just take longer to process the appeal.
I say we don't deny it, just add a 3 day period before staff responds for each message posted. They can just instantly reappeal otherwise. +1
Some people don't know that they can't. You people have this aggressive "BAN BAN BAN YOU'RE ANNOYING BAN BAN BAN" mindset that's negatively contagious. Staff are here to teach players, not ban them. What they should do is tell the player not to request their appeal get looked at. If they're someone who should know, or has done it in the past, then that's different. Because in that situation, your previous lesson clearly hasn't been learned, and then you ban them.
Billy, I believe the consensus here has been to warn, then ban when they just do not get it or are too upset and annoying to care. I have seen moderators and others tell players multiple times it is not appropriate but it just does not matter to some - that is what this suggestion is about. The point is that we should not all have to suffer the constant interruptions because they made the choice to break the rules, and then continue to break them.
I'd like to thank you for the valuable insight generated by your comment. Your 20 paragraph statement has changed my perspective on the issue among with the majority of users on ECC. Again, I'd like to thank you for your lenghthy post and immense time and effort spent into creating this, especially with the hours you spent making your post bold.
See after reading Nicit's insight I dont think denying is the best option but maybe ban from shoutbox or something. I dont agree with just adding on days to how long we deal with appeals because then the user will just keep trying to post in shoutbox as that is the reason they are being an annoyance in shoutbox in the first place.
ya +1! For those of us who try to follow the rules, it really annoys us when people constantly brake them, and get away with it
Yes, +1! For those of us who try to follow the rules, it really annoys us when people constantly break them, and then get away with it without consequences.
This is why this should be implemented: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/un-ban-me-go-on-go-on.138063/ http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/un-ban-me-please.138065/ http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/un-ban-me-please.138067/ Three appeals made by the same person, not listening to a word the mods said. No forum warning as far as I know.
Why should we forum warn them? It's their fault that they don't follow staff instructions and will stay banned until then.
Their punishment is that they stay banned until they can heed staff instructions. I'm sorry, but it's not my fault that you can't elaborate.
