Minecraft Name: stoler202 Suggestion: Make bronze the lowest tiered medal, instead of the highest. So, order of acquisition: 1. Wood (Bronze) 2. Stone (Silver) 3. Iron 4. Gold 5. Diamond (Minecraft tool progression, seems logical, right?) Since apparently the old bronze and silver medals had scores behind them, bit the current ones don't, I'm leaning towards a reorder, rather than bringing back the old designs, since they would still make less sense. The old bronze/silver medals used to have an actual 'medal' behind the sword, showing their higher value. However, the current design really doesn't fit anymore. If the bronze medal's image were exchanged with another one I'd rather recommend the order of bronze -> silver -> (Gold/Iron, not sure which comes first - gold is more valuable, iron is more useful.) -> Diamond. My personal preference would be to restore the previous medal design, though.
We could just fix the images to the way they should be... Bronze and silver being higher than diamond looks fine as long as bronze and silver aren't a wood and stone sword
well, arguably most of history since bronze is actually useful and diamonds are more or less simply a result of marketing, but I digress since diamond is this and bronze is this your proposed image order is which looks weird
Currently the medals for bronze and silver are wood and stone swords. I guess you can also rename them into SG Wood and SG Stone, to make it completely clear.
well, when your suggestion says 'fix' the medal I assumed you were including putting them back to what hey were supposed to be. your proposed idea is just bad, then. You're taking medals people have earned and replacing them with lower ones, and for those who spent time getting extra medals, the nice ones are gone.
You could also view it the other way. Since bronze and silver were rarer, you're giving people with the lower tiered ones what used to be better ones. I don't know what exactly is the best approach to fix, but as of right now the medals just don't make sense.
but you're not giving them the bronze and silver medals, you're giving them wood and stone swords. the reason we have the nice bronze and silver medals is because when we needed new medals after the original iron, gold, and diamond, everything got bumped up two, and added wood and stone to the bottom. And guess what? People didn't like it, because we took something they'd worked for and given them something less than they had.
+1 Personally would prefer to change it and rank it in a way that makes sense. Seems like a lot of these things dont change because of 'whats the point of changing it, only causes more work' example the shop numbers.... Anyways +1
Which happen to be rarer than the diamond ones right now. Didn't know my idea was already kinda done, later removed after a shitstorm. But really, why should players fear the change so much. They're still gonna have a medal, just wood will be the new iron, being the new low tier. I guess it would be kind of repeating the old fail, but should the medals really not make sense because some players don't like it?
+1 I personally would like to see it changed to a way that makes sense. Some people might not be thrilled about it, but hey more incentive to go earn a new medal or just plain get over it. I don't like the idea of permanently suspending a sensible order of medals just because some people will get fussy for a bit about it. There just needs to be some effort in not totally devaluing the medals. Just putting them into a proper order.
The thing is the order of the medals on this thread does not seem proper. The order should be [Wood Sword] (75,000), [Stone Sword] (150,000), [Gold Sword] (300,000), [Iron Sword] (600,000), and [Diamond Sword] (1,200,000). And for the Iron Sword, it should have the Bronze Medal behind it and the Diamond Sword should have either a Gold Medal behind it or a Silver Medal behind it to make them seem more proper. When I see a Wood/Stone Sword higher than a Diamond/Iron/gold it just doesn't seem completely proper in my opinion and if I have to, I'll make a suggestion of this myself because right now, both Nicit's and this suggestion does not fit to how they should properly look to where other new users will understand the sequence other than getting confused even though they have a description on each of them it just still looks improper.
