    I say make rank color sparkles a third option for premium accounts, because I imagine some people would rather have gold sparkles over rank color sparkles.

    As far as I know all sparkles are white, so no problem there :). Though I would like for there to be rank-colored sparkles also, that would be a big help.
    The suggestion was to simply change the name color, as in the examples @eekelmo brought up that were made by @AgentHare.

    I love this idea! Although I am no where near forum gold myself, I think it would certainly help other players identify ranks as well as seeing players as forum gold. I was actually having problems like 15 mins ago identifying the ranks of people because their gold sparkles were a little too bright lol xD
