Why? Fishing is harder then melon farming. And this also will help balance. He said proportional, not equal.
@zorracraft If fishing with a star rod only makes 8-10k, then no I make almost double that cocoa farming. I can make 12-18k an hour with my semi auto
Also, I like getting the "junk drops" Maybe not wooden tools, but leather armor and stone tools are great. I make welcome chests for new players and its nice to be able to throw some armor and tools in there for them
Okay, so maybe add it so that everytime you fish up a junk drop you also get a fish idk. But I rather like the drops
I'll look into the math on this and discuss it with Andrew soon. I agree though, the tool's cost/income ratio is kind of a joke.
I had already thought the getting a fish when you get a 'treasure' was already added some time ago? If it isn't now, I'm not sure when it would have stopped. Certainly it helps offset getting random items of junk.
If you fish 14 hours a day for 5 years nonstop with a star rod, you'll make 164 million dollars. Nothing to really do with post but was quite interesting.
Hickory dickory dock, the bump ran up the clock. The clock struck one, the bump came down, bumpity bumpity bump
+1 I really like this suggestion. Fish prices should be increased slightly, and exp/hour should also be nerfed. I really hope something is changed about this to make fishing more worthwhile. Right now, a star rod is merely cosmetic.
@Nicit6 I think now that many large projects such as the hub have been completed, some attention should be returned to buff fishing. As already stated various times, it makes hardly any money.
Lolwat? I generally consider clicking every 10 seconds is easier than constantly having your hand on the mouse, lmao.
harder? nope. Easier? Nope. Equally as easy? Definitely. (however, I must note. That the gap between star rod and regular rod is not very large, and thus it will never be worth it to have a star rod without making it cheaper or better)
Star rod is capable of making 3 times the money that a regular max rod can, not including the additions of getting better drops with luck 5 instead of 3.
Well the mcmmo fishing lvl definitely effects the average income, but assuming both are at around lvl 1000, star rod would average around 10k, and a max rod would be at about 3 - 3.5k.
