Would like to be able to claim a town in 3 moths of a player being inactive vrs the current 6 months wait period
Six months too long...and we need more claims. Towns be dying. Worlds be dying: no space for nations no more. Prohibitive laws for growth should be changed!
I feel six months is adequate - players should not be afraid to lose everything they work hard for any sooner than that. I do agree that it would be awesome to have more town claims available - I support player to player transactions, however, there are not enough claims for sale at times. Worlds are not dying at all - I see growth everywhere. There is plenty of space for nations - millions of blocks available everywhere.
So while I still think that we should get more town claims overall, I'm not personally invested in this issue atm, so I'm gonna not bump it again for a while. However: I still think six months is a rather long time. I think that owners who've basically quit (but log in every 5.5 months) should check their mails and/or forum messages (-_-). Finally, I think that zoning laws need to be modified more urgently so I will focus my thinking there.
So I said I wasn't going to bump this anymore...but I had an idea. What if instead of calling it six months since login, we made it six months since a message was sent by forum PM (include a mod in the conversation as proof)? Thoughts?
Make the 6 months 1 day so I can steal spawn towns, kthnxbai. Seriously though. I believe that 6 months is too long. Perhaps 2 or 3 months? As for buying town claims.. No. People rank up to obtain these town claims. Also, adding the ability to purchase these would remove the player ran market for them. -1
I don't like and will not support reducing the claiming period from 6 months - there is no adequate way to inform the entire userbase that the policy which has been in place for years regarding towns (and which quite a few people are still apparently unaware of) is changing, and really no adequate justification. It just allows people who want to take things more things to take.
@Nicit6, I understand that. What are your thoughts on increasing the total number of available town claims?
