I'm suggesting we get one of those plugins that let you do like "/chest" and it pops up a chest, almost like a seperate inventory. I know there are plugins like this out there, but another part of my idea is that this becomes a donation feature where you pay for it once and you get "/chest", pay for it twice and you get "/chest2" pay for it three times and you get "/chest3" and so on, almost like multihome+, but you have multiple storages instead of multiple homes. I don't know if this can be coded, but if it can and we have an open-source for a plugin like this, I think it would be a good idea. Yes this has been suggested before, I just wanted to bring it back up as it's been a while.
Well as I told confederate this is a plugin I've tried to get noticed for this exact description you can upgrade slots as you please and more. http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/simplebackpacks/
Actually, it wasn't 30 minutes ago. Conferate suggested more storage, I suggested a specific plugin that is real that (I'm pretty sure) is open-source that we can modify and code. This means if the plugin does not have multiple chests already, then we can code for multiple chests. This isn't just "more storage", this is an actual plugin.
No, an inventory would end up filling up the screen, therefore being limited. And no it can't be coded to have multiple inventory pages. /chest would allow as many backpacks/portable chests as you please, therefore being unlimited.
...Your grammar defies you. "when the players also dies with the stuff in the backpack be gone" I'm guessing you meant "when the players die the stuff in the backpack is gone" In that case, it is up to andrew to decide if they keep or lose the stuff. The red sentence makes no sense. I don't understand it. Also, this command doesn't automatically put stuff in chests. It ACTS LIKE A CHEST. You have to put the stuff inside the chest. It's not just a seperate inventory.
The fact that it can't be coded. It would have to be a mod, not a plugin. Therefore not possible. You can't just add a button to the inventory screen. Plugins add things to minecraft that do not change the blocks or looks of the game, it only changes what the blocks can do. Mods on the other hand add blocks and features that aren't possible in normal minecraft. Inventory pages is an example of that.
Why can't it be like the /travel command where you have to click a compass to tp somewhere? I'm sure if you can use those types of buttons for tps you could use it for another menu. I personally think that this would be nicer than having to type a command.
You can create another chest interface, but not another inventory interface. That would screw up everything, as it would want to put whatever is in there in your inventory, and yadayadayada. It wouldn't work. Put it this way, if it happened it's the same idea as multihome, but with more inventories. For every time you purchase it, you get another chest interface for a command. Another thing is that just like multihome, you could use a powertool to open your chest! You could do /pt chest2 and then be able to open your chest by a click of that item! Trust me, this was is a lot easier and the inventory wouldn't work. I can tell you don't understand how plugins work. They don't work AT ALL like mods do. And yes, you could use something like the compasses for another chest interface. The only thing is that I'm suggesting this to be similar to multihome. Multihome doesn't have a /multihome command where you choose your homes now, hmm? Also given that it may not be easy or possible to do a command where it opens and interface like the /chest command, as you can't do that for yourself. It would be serverwide, and for one person editing that command would be H**L for andrew to do for every single person. Don't go with the big complicated version, go for the simpler version as the complicated version will probably never, ever, EVER, happen. Sorry.
I admit it, I'm not a genius with how minecraft plugins and mods work. I just don't like that you have to do /chest<number> for everything. I am just trying to improve this suggestion.
