[Suggestion] New Hoarder Medals (Like the Nstar)

I remember my FTB days. Glad they're over.

Back on topic, I like the idea of chest colors as the medals. Emerald as green, diamond as sky blue, lapis as dark blue, gold as gold, iron as silver and quartz as white.

 

I think you are forgetting coal. I think the lower tier medals would be super easy to obtain.

 

I am indeed . Anyway, possibly 3 double chests could combat that.

I forgot redstone as well . That should be 3 double chests as well because of how common it is.

 

That isn't a bad thing. It is still taking blocks out of the economy. Having some medals that are easier to obtain don't hurt.

I think it should be a certain value, maybe. a Double chest of coal is nothing at all, where as a double chest of emerald blocks is a huge amount. Maybe 150k-200k of each.

 

+1 I absolutely love this idea I'm an ore hoarder myself and I would love to see this implemented. We have quite a few of these ores floating around ECC especially now with the eff 7 picks widely in use. This could definitely get some of this excess ore out of the server while giving us all something else fun to aim for.

A double chest of nstars is a huge amount too, just means the medal will be rarer.
Though I agree with Coal being too common for just 1 dchest.

 

I've been doing the math and I've found out how much it would cost (value) of each double chest:

1. Coal: $31,104
2. Redstone: $46,656
3. Diamond: $777,600
4. Emerald (Valued at $40 per emerald): $1,244,160
5. Lapis: $124,416
6. Iron: $233,280
7. Gold: $311,040
8. Total for all medals: $2,768,256

That's how much each one is worth to the server. It will cost you $2,768,256 to obtain all 7 medals. This I hope gives you an idea of how easy and difficult some of these are to obtain.

 

Red stone, coal, and lapis are to easy to obtain. Also, by that math which seems very accurate, are too cheap as well.

 

Instead of having a medal for every type of ore, we could simply have one medal which requires you to obtain one double chest of every ore. That would cut down on having an unnecessary excess in medals and would make it more difficult to obtain too.

 

I like this idea actually. Adding 7 new medals would be too much in addition to all the current ones. 1 medal for all is good idea.
