-1 One little problem... I'm a resident and I already own trade signs, what will happen when to them while I work to get an extra 35k just to rank up? Will I not be able to use the signs that I already paid 15k to get? Will I have to wait how ever long it takes me to accumulate 35k? That doesn't seem fair. I ranked up from builder mainly to use trade signs and to get closer to mayor. Also, don't take builders or res for idiots. They will see that it will just take them an extra 35k to get to Mayor and get even more discouraged.
I don't know how trade sign ability works (whether it be you add the new resident via a command, or its automatic) However if you add the resident to the ability perms, new residents just won't get it. Old residents can keep it. And no they aren't idiots but unless they're thinking "I need ______ to get mayor" (which is of course if you want it above all) they will be thinking "I need ______ for the next rank", which in this case is 35k, less than 85k. It's not a trick, it's allowing a more gradual than rapid advancement.
But in total, people will realize it takes even more. I'm a res, and I often think how much I need to get ___, not just the next rank.
Very very very unlikely to happen. We don't want ranks to be easy to achieve, if they were too easy, players wouldn't have a goal to stick around for.
You do realize that this means that they have to earn another 35k along with the 85k for mayor? -.- This is making it harder for builders/residents...not easier.
