Minecraft Name: Vanquish12P Suggestion: Being allowed to remove LWC's from a town's original owner if you own that town and if he/she is inactive Reason: Imagine if you bought a town from another player (the original town owner, who won't come to the server anymore) and he forgot to remove his LWC's which are occupying a huge space on your town and ruining it completely... I think this is a waste of space, and since you can't remove those LWC's they'll stay there forever and making that space non habitable! Instead, you could just file a LWC removal and this problem would be gone in some minutes! I can't see why it is not allowed! Any Other Information: I recently bought a town and today, I found a 30x30 plot occupied with lots of locked chests by the Original Town Owner, this player doesn't have intentions to return to the server, so, a big part of my town is being wasted because of those chests which don't make sense being there! Your only current option is to get tycoon and claim the town, unless they come back and file a town transfer app. I agree that the 500k+ to remove the locks is a lot, and maybe there should be a way to move them to a different part of the town. However, -1 for the suggestion, because I wouldn't want co-mayors/future owners of my towns to be able to get inside my chests unless I give them permission or they spend their money getting to them. -1
Everything that Dc says, especially the part of wanting my items protected. Sorry Vanquish, I know you will make a great town, but I normally do not agree to rule changes, especially those that take away my protections as a legal town owner as defined by those rules.
This is a rule in place as official town owners have a series of extra protections. These include the ability to reclaim the town if the current owners are inactive/the town was wrongfully taken, and immunity from chests being unlocked. This would remove one of the safest ways to safegaurd your items (as we don't ask for contractual proof of ownership/what have you in lwc removals there would be no way to detect those who had illegally taken the town as their own, especially if the official owner is inactive)
This would have to be done by staff, I'm assuming? I get why, but the LWC removal rule applies to all locks - doors, signs, etc, things that moving doesn't make sense. Official owner locks shouldn't be altered in any way, in my opinion.
