Who banned you under what reason then? I have a feeling that story is unlikely. And even then, I don't think it'd be an immediate thing. It would likely be processed by Andrew or a GA+ after making sure you were banned for it.
A simple solution would be rather than wipe when banned, wipe when they appeal. Stats don't matter if you're banned, and it sorts out situations like this.
It may not matter to them but it will matter to us as all those hackers will still have their spots and we are down one more spot then we should be. Ex. I am ranked 1 (never will happen ) and nicit, you are ranked two. I get banned for hacking and decide never to appeal. So you are stuck at two until you are able to bypass me. Sorry if that's badly written

+1 I hate that hackers are taking over Sg. However, we should wait at least a month to wipe them in my opinion, just in case they make an appeal and it proves that they weren't hacking. Especially since we have a new person handling hacking and I wouldn't be surprised if a few mistakes were made, in fact, there's already been one.
If the server does plan on wiping out SG Stats for hackers, I believe they should add the hacker detector so that the wrongfully banned users who were accused of hacking don't get their stats removed.
You are, I'm sorry for doubting you. But how many times do you think that happens out of the hundreds do you think that has happened? 1? Maybe 2?
Out of 100, I'd estimate a little bit more then that. Especially since we have a new user handling hacking. Personally, I think that they should be wiped after a month.
^A month after what? Being banned? Or having it proven being hacking...? A few users have been banned, and have owned up to it, I still think they should be wiped though, regardless of ban length.
You have to take into account that wiping someone's stats affects everyone. If you wipe someone's stats, it affects everyone who has ever killed or died to that person.
If you look in the SG stats page you can see who you killed, etc. When you kill someone, you get points.
If points are stored in their own database field, there should be no problem. Sent from my LG-VM701 using Tapatalk 2
@Tanmanyellow17 , banned, reapplied, his stats would have been whipped. Goodbye about a year of sging (not continuously). Judging by nicits response above, if tanman's appeal were to have been denied but his second appeal accepted, his stats would be wiped still. I'd understand perm banned users maybe, but I think those people that aren't all that into sg don't quite understand that sg stats mean a lot when people play ecc. Or if a player was falsely accused (very rare) all his work just went down the drain. Sure he may have made a little money, but his sg reputation is tarnished now. Ultimately, there's no better system to catching hackers than we have right now. Get someone who can record, and fight the person you think is hacking and hope to catch them on camera. I've noticed that if you record and someone records you fighting from a distance as well, it gives the staff member handling the complaint a better visual of the lag/attacking form, just a suggestion. But still, -1 too risky for those who actually try. I wouldn't want to risk my sg stats on something that could have been lag but wasn't properly identified.
