How about we add some more lag to this "hub"! What a fantastic idea! I can just foresee so many good relations coming out of this! Of course these little skirmishes won't cause fights/more hackusations/tighter community/grudges and most importantly, lots more fun! On a more serious note; I've heard a rumor that these servers will all connect back to ECC in some way. I don't know how this might connect.
As for the lag part If its done correctly it will not lag. 99% of the time its player side lag and there will be hackusations no matter what you do with any game or server because people are annoying when they loose.
If you want a lot of players, then the server needs to remember that a lot of people don't have the best computers. Sure, there will be no server lag, but players can't have an enjoyable experience with lag. And I know for a fact that a lot of players won't buy another computer just to play a server. I know from experience; I can't play ECC anymore, and minecraft in general due to my computer. I ain't buying another computer for a while.
