Exactly, that's why I changed it. Also as I just stated, I would just hope there is a way to discourage users from scamming.
Well according to you: It's a "rare" occurrence that they even appeal, so how long they wait doesn't even matter because they *probably* wont even get their money back . I don't like 30 days, and 24 hours does hardly anything. It should be 3 days, 4 days or a week.
The only thing you guys seem to agree on is that it be handled on a case to case basis... which is what is already done.
I completely understand your opinion, I would just prefer a stricter punishment for those who have scammed and discourage others to start scamming or continue to scam.
Thank you for respecting my opinion. Wouldn't rasing the tax for the pay back higher be a good punishment? The interest add-on can be useful.
Oh I understand. Hmm... All I can see for a compromise with a larger interest rate. However I will comment if I think of anything that may be useful for this suggestion ^~^
Players already get a tempban when they successfully appeal a scamming ban. To add a period of time when a banned player can't appeal would just complicate the matter. I think this suggestion would be better placed by suggesting longer temp bans after successfully appealing. For the record, I actually don't agree with the idea of longer temp bans. I think it would only push people away from the server, resulting in less victims being paid back. Also, don't forget that scamming appeals aren't done as quickly as many other types as they require a GA to do them, who are all busy people. They can often take several days anyway.
I think the solution to most scamming is simply making the users aware of ways to trade safely. There's no way to fix stupid people making stupid mistakes all the time though. (I mean the people who get scammed all the time) I've never gotten scammed, because I've always been very careful about who I trade with and how I trade. It's a matter of not being stupid, aka, being careful.
