Minecraft Name: cat4461176 Suggestion: Would really like to see a server map generated regularly such as once a week. Reason: There is no way to see the server anymore. I would like to see where there is land available, see who are my neighbors, etc. Any Other Information: I asked about this in a forum post a while back and a mod told me to use a map generator but for the life of me I cannot get it to work. I'm not sure I can even get it to work being only the user, not server owner.
I agree with this suggestion, but for different reasons. I feel it is much easier to find where to place a new town. Also my favorite part of being on a server is the people and seeing their creations. When there was a live map it was much easier, but I realized it caused lag. So why not update it every week or weeks or maybe have a forum where to put all your buildings created in ecocitycraft.
Andrew told me himself he is not doing a weekly map draw. But when i asked him about a monthly/bimonthly draw he said maybe. But he never really got around to it...
If this can't be done by the staff/andrew, is there a way we, as players, can do it? I haven't been able to figure it out, but if there is someone who has, I would love to see a tutorial on it!
I agree with this. I personally have little need for it, but it could definitely help residents who are looking for a chunk of land for their new town.
In my opinion it's not that hard to find a chunk of land for a town. You just have to walk a while and keep your eyes open. If the resident has very specific requirements in mind, however, I suppose a map could be a help.
I do understand this and I would love to have 1 of these on the server because I remember when they had life map and I would always check the life map to see what was around my town and so forth I think butI would rather have no lag issue thanhaving lagging a map I think uh the server would go down for about 30 minutes every week at somewhere around 2am EST then it would generate the new map the map would stay on the forms

I'm not, it depends what tone of voice your using in your head to read it If your reading it like an angry viking, yeah, it sounds rude. If your reading it like a hesitant person, then no, it doesn't.
I would love to see this return, it left when I was a res so I never really used it. It would be soooo helpful for finding cool builds or new town areas. I wouldn't mind it going down for a half hour a week to do this. +1
If a map were to be drawn lets say weekly, that means every week the server would be down or whitelisted for a few hours to draw a map, that not to many users would use, I have never used the ECC dynmap, and honestly I never had any problems, if you need clear land for a town ask a person with the fly donation to fly you out somewhere. Im sorry but -1
