Denied [Suggestion] "Silk Touch" enchantment on Sword

Suggestion:
"Silk Touch" enchantment on Sword

Reason:
Since there is a proper efficient tool for farming melons but that is for only the rich of the riches who owns a Melon Sword, why not make a alternative cheaper tool to farm melons? Of course, with the cost of lower efficiency in general.
Anyone hardly farm melons without Melon Sword, just a Silk Touch enchantment would do, this Sword with Silk Touch would offer high income per crop but slow harvest speed while comparing to the known Pumpkin Axe, which offers high harvest speed but low income per crop or comparing to the Melon Sword, both high income per crop and high harvest speed.

- This farming method does not require good internet since you only have to slowly break blocks so chance of encountering a ghost block is practically reduced to zero percent.
- This farming method does not need much of investment, all you need is a silk diamond sword (Unbreaking III enchant is optional) and a decent farm.
- This farming method provides a surely ~$4500 a hour or ~75$ a minute, without any factor aside from breaking melons without pausing in a straight line.

Whoa whoa, before you think this may cause devaluing to the valuable Melon Sword because we can enchant and make a DIY Melon Sword, keep in mind that this suggestion is not both Efficiency V and Silk Touch for Sword but only Silk Touch for Sword.

No "Efficiency V and Silk Touch" on swords, just only "Silk Touch".

I hope I didn't forget something to write here or make some grammar mistakes.

Melon Sword is very valuable because of the extreme efficient combo, Silk Touch and Efficiency 5. It is also valuable because of it's price, 2000 netherstars, I guess.

But having just one of these enchantment doesn't make that valuable or efficient, with Efficiency 5, you would need to craft tons of melon slices to melon block which is effort-intensive or Silk Touch, it isn't require much of effort but it requires a hefty time, you can destroy a melon block per second. Meanwhile with Pumpkin Axe, you can already strip over 6 pumpkins and considering the income of selling pumpkins... But well, pumpkin farming also has some few factors, subjective factor is farming techniques and layout or objective factor is the amount of pumpkin grows averagely.

This suggestion was meant to make melon farming viable at a reasonable point without the need of Melon Sword, while anyone with Melon Sword would be able to farm and earn a relatively high income, considering their investment to Melon Sword. Also this suggestion give another choice of farming block-crops (Melon and Pumpkin).

If I made a grammar mistake or if I forgot to consider some points and factors then sorry in advance.

Or maybe change the suggestion to efficiency-only? Since one needs to craft lots of melon slices to melon block anyway.

Pros
Higher income than silk sword, at least 8k if farming continuously.

Cons
Income variates alot, depending on effort spent, rate of pumpkin grown and farming techniques.

Silk Sword
Pros
Stable income, easy job.

Cons
Relatively lower income compared to pumpkin farming.

I do understand that you veterans are concerned for the economy but this shouldn't earn a player over 7k a over, assume that each melon blocks is worth 2$ and there are 3600 seconds in a hour, plus the tiny delay even for the user nearest the server with the best internet.

 

Oh well, is there a way to detect player that performs repetitive action under certan criteria? Or it doesn't exist? =/

 

Well, this farming method was meant to be a slow and easy job with a steady income, theorically capped at 7.2k, at least every farming crop should be reasonably viable to every player at some point while melon farming with melon sword would be all over the top of every farming method.

 

Melon farming with only Silk Touch would be a easy and low-effort job but with a relatively lower output than other crops.

At least why not make a melon farming a thing to every users out here for more choice of farming methods? I mean anyone hardly farms those melon without the Melon Sword.

 

I do know that many method of earning money may earn more but this method was meant to provide a steady and stable income (6-7k averagely) compared to many ways of earning, which the income rate usually varies.

Also, I cannot apply Silk Touch on Shears, somehow but still, it would not provide a reasonable income compared to other method of earning money, if it isn't applied on sword.

That way is not effective any at all.
