Suggestion: Since we are no longer treating first 3 rows of spawn shops as special (and in fact only have 4/5 rows total now) We should treat all spawn shops the same. Therefore, getting to the suggestion of it: Make all spawn shops the same size/height. There is no reason for 24 out of 36 spawn shops to be better. It takes away all the special of it when its the majority of them, instead it makes the already disadvantaged back shops more disadvantaged. Just make them all the 3 blocks higher please.
Question... when was this changed? I only know about third row shops due to Zev's recent app for station74. Those two points contradict each other. Normal spawn shops have a size of 15x12x6, 'premium' shops have 19x13x8. Assuming you mean 2 blocks higher instead of 3 (to make them all have the same height), front row shops still have a volume of 536 more blocks¹ (or an area of 67 blocks) than the normal shops. I don't object to the idea, I just think that we can't "make all spawn shops the same size/height" without completely redesigning the market (which would then make it harder to restore the current layout if we need to return the market to its old size again in the future). ¹ Assuming you said "3 blocks higher" to even out that difference, a 15x12x9 shop is still 356 blocks smaller than a 19x13x8.
Honestly it's not worth modifying the market like this without a total redesign. The same changes are what we would need to renumber the market or push a handful of other changes. However it comes down to the fact that nobody has time to do this for a very minimal change.
Worldedit has cut/paste if you were to truly resize them all. As for adjusting just the height that should be about as simple as reassigning regions. The market as we know it is dead so I’m not sure how much effort will ever be put into a redesign considering there have been at least 3 attempts that I’m aware of since the current design was implemented
the whole market needs to be redone it sucks been waiting so long for it to be redone main reason i never got a shop after they removed the old market.
I have no clue what you're talking about, if you make this clearer and easier to understand for new players or players who don't deal with spawn shops, then you'd probably get more comments
