Minecraft Name: MaxToMinimum Suggestion: If you buy a town and the original owner of the town is offline for a long time, i.e 6 months or year, then you are able to make applications in the name of the town owner Reason: I wanted to change a flag for the town that I bought about a year and a half ago, but I can't. The original owner hasn't been on the forums for a year and 6 weeks, so I am not able to make any applications. I don't want to end up ranking up to Tycoon (680k), or pay the 150k-200k for a town claim just to pay 10k so people can't open chests in my town. Any Other Information: no Link To This Plugin/Is this a custom addition?:\ Whatever plugin they use to make towns
Would anyone who's added as owner of the town be able to file these applications? Or would you need to provide evidence that you legally bought the town?
Which is why it's a good idea to make a contract when you buy the town, that states that you are allowed to transfer the town, in case the original owner goes offline. When people forget to do that, situations like this can happen.
I don't necessarily disagree with the suggestion...but does water down original ownership a bit. I have seen another suggestion that lowers town transfer cost, which would improve simply transfering the town so you have power to change flags. Ill give it a +1 since I own several towns where Im not original owner and theyre inactive.
Even if town transfers were 100k, he wouldn't be able to have the town. He needs permission from the original owner, which is impossible to get since the owner went offline and there was no contract set up.
This is the reason for the suggestion, he has been offline for over a year so I have to claim the town or just get over it
+1. This could work like this: If the town owner has been offline for a year and there is no contract, than the new town owner can put in applications for the town. I think it would work because if someones offline for a year+, you're in the green and it's very unlikely that they will be back online anytime soon, In-Game or on the Forums. I've seen people being worried about other players not being online for 2 days!
I agree, I don't want to be able to make a town transfer or anything huge like that, I just want to make a warp and other small things like that.
