/repair exists though, this wouldn't really have any use. I know not everyone has it but so many people offer e-repairs for free anyway.

 

If we're going to offer it, it should just be offered through the EXP shop for EXP.

just copy paste enchant signs, add an unsafe enchant sign, make it use the unsafe features. Voila

 

But with the new Mending enchant (1.9) why not just put "Mending" in the EXP shop instead of an OP unbreaking?

 

It won't take ECD out of the economy as it costs NetherStars, not ECD. In fact, it'll do the opposite intended effect - It will in theory inflate prices by stimulating more demand for NetherStars instead of deflating prices like taking money out of the economy does.

Doesn't directly apply to the suggestion itself, just throwing that around.

I was going to make a suggestion for star shears that had a higher unbreaking, but this works too

Yeah, unbreaking can be applied to the same tools that mending can be applied to.
