On the server, I've seen staff members verbally warn other players in chat for doing something wrong, and if they persist, they would just temp-ban them. That looks rather unprofessional in my opinion, as its not a consistent sort of punishment, so today, I would like to bring up the /warn command. With /warn, staff can easily warn rule breakers with /warn <player> <Rule Violated>. Unlike verbal warnings, these warnings can slowly add up. I think that once a user reaches a certain number of warnings, he would get automatically banned/muted, or if a jail is added, jailed for a short period of time, with the time increasing with the number of warns. I apologize if this was confusing, and sorry about the bold- I bolded my words and it just wont 'un-bold'
Really? My apologies, as in my previous server, when someone gets warned, it would show up in general chat. It must be different here, I assume. Thanks for letting me know
The previous warn system did show up in general chat. People used to constantly break rules to the point of getting that warning as an "achievement" though, so yeah. It ended up getting changed.
