I believe this could turned into Pyro/Water++. The difference here being that fly isn't always the best option when it comes to traversing water/lava. Sometimes I would prefer to stay walking, especially when I am mining. When you fly your mining speed slows way down, and this would alleviate that somewhat. I would find this handy mainly for when I'm strip mining, however I'm sure it would be used for other things as well.
Thing is nocheatplus stops this, so adding a new command for those 2 would be like adding /fly but so that it walks on the surface of water / lava
The thing is, this suggestion is really nothing like fly. You can't increase your speed, and you can't fly around. You're still restricted to a normal jump height. I would buy this to walk on lava if this was implemented, and I have fly+.
Fly already does allow you to go on/over water but what your implying you can never go under water.. :/ The only way to get past this would be to create a command for it.
For that to work the game clients would need to register water/lava as solid objects like stone/glass... I'm not sure that is possible without client-side mods. Of course I could be terribly wrong but that's just what I've gathered from my minecraft experience.
If this is an interesting enough idea to enough people, maybe it could be made as water++ or pyro++. Personally, I think all that is needed is fly.
