Might be a nice idea for PvP town events. Generally, I think the town flag apps need more flags to choose from.

-1 cook pots made of non-netherack materials will burn them selfs out. -2 can burn trade(savings) signs. -3 no block log on who broke block (fire did) -4 no block log if used to greif -5 reasons are endless, YAH just gotta think what this could do.
answer to -1 cookpots are made only from netherrack atleast i see no point in other materials! answer to -2 signs dont burn answer to -3 and -4 that flag application is purely at mayors risk: if they want to be griefed by fire then they do! if people apply they apply at own risk! they mkust agree that they can be griefed by fire with low chance of justice.
My #1 objection to this would be the lag it would cause from the spreading of fire. I don't really lag on ECC but there are countless others who do and why make their life more miserable. Also stoler I know you don't care about the feelings of others so you don't need to respond saying that, because that would just be repetitive of what you always say as an excuse when people defend the rights of others especially builders.
-1 I simply don't think it's needed. Anyways about this lag business a player can simply place a bunch of nether racks and set them on fire. The same with huge farms a lot of things cause lag. I don't see why that would be so extreme unless people purposely lag try and make the server lag. But anyone can make it lag using other means.
What you said is, even without firespread people can make it lag by simply placing netherrack! But with firespread atleast something will burn! Actually part of why i need this is that i am thinking about burning down my own town. I wanna redesign it!
On the fence with this one, It would be fun to have with PVP tourneys, but if it was widespread across multiple towns, it would be laggy for the people who don't have as good computers as some people. -1/+1
Then I agree with the people that say this will lag the server. Maybe small jobs this would be ok but your doing the extreme full town burn which is what people are afraid of Xp

This would make grief with fire near impossible to track. If one block of fire could spread across a whole town, using log block to investigate grief would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. -1
Not only would this increase the griefing issues, but it would most likely bring along the lag factor into this. I'm going to have to disagree with this due to lagging/griefing issues being involved.
We will not currently be adding this as a flag. It is far more likely to cause problems then do any good. Locked
