Suggestion: Allow town tranfer to take place without the original owner's consent under the following circumstances:

    1. The original owner has been banned from the server.

    2. The original owner has been offline for 6+ months and is not found on "/seen".

Reason: I currently own this town I'm not the original owner of, and the original owner is permabanned, so I can't make the contract nor the town transfer application.
    Here's the current rule:
    • You are able to officially transfer a town from another user to yourself under certain circumstances on EcoCityCraft.
      • The user you are receiving the town from is the original/official town owner. Meaning they either originally applied for it or they are the official owner after some sort of town claim.
      • You must have a valid staff approved contract officially stating that you have transferred the town. This contract can be a previous one made from before we introduced this application or one made after it. Regardless however it must clearly and absolutely state that the entire town has been transferred to you.
    • If approved the town you get transferred into your name will be marked as yours officially by a town application thread title change.
      • This will make you the new "original" town owner. This now means the town is locked under your name and can never be claimed back by the original owner, as well you are now able to apply for special town features to add to that town and use the newly titled thread link as your "original" town application link.

Other Information: If the original owner is not longer active for 6+ months or banned, why not allow this same rule to apply for town transfers?

Link to this plugin/Is this a custom addition?: N/A

If we were going to do this I'd much rather a purchasable town claim option for tycoon+, as this is basically a purchasable town claim.

I don't think this should be added to transfers, as I think the Official owner's consent is what makes a transfer a transfer.

Is there a reason for the original owner's consent? What if the original owner is banned or offline for 6+ months? I'm saying that same rule should apply.

If this was to be changed, the incentive to rank up to Tycoon+ will be almost completely removed. Effectively, this suggestion is to lower the rank requirements of a feature that we already have, and I don't agree with that sorry. I like that Town Claims are only Tycoon+.

Yes... The reason is that otherwise it's a town claim and those are tycoon+

I edited the suggestion because I don't think I made it clear.

I did understand your original post, I just don't really agree with it. What you're describing is changing a town transfer to a town claim - The requirements would be the same as a town claim (arguably even more relaxed as a town claim requires a permaban, whereas your suggestion is just being banned).

I still stand by my point above that to do this would remove the point of ranking up to Tycoon to get a town claim. Effectively, assuming under your suggestion a Town Transfer remained at 250k, ranking up to Tycoon would give you a free Town Transfer. I really don't think these two concepts should be merged. I think that a Town Transfer should require the consent of the Official Owner, and only a Town Claim should be able to overcome the lack of consent.

What a lot of people do in your position is get an active user to use one of their town claims on the town that you are owner of, and then make an agreement whereby you pay them money to apply for features on your behalf. Just be sure to have a good contract and to buy a town claim from someone who is active enough to apply for features for you when you want them. I often see town claims selling for 150-200k.
