Doesnt mean there isnt a chance to change it up a bit After all, ECC is a unique server and nothing can be a replacement
Isn't there a way to make the server 1.8 and 1.9? It has been done where servers are able to run on 1.8 and 1.7, why cant it be the same for 1.8 and 1.9?
Because the differnces between 1.8 and 1.9 are so large it's bound to create problems. Especially in the anti-cheat department.
Good point, but there are still things that can be changed with little problems (hopefully) with custom coding or even some plugins. A problem is bound to occur, but hopefully those problems could be fixable
In all honesty, with Andrew in the situation he is in, and Jammie working on the hub, I doubt they will do any crazy changes to 1.9.
The only thing that 1.9 will kill is sg. Buffer thrives on clicking fast. Kits become useless in 1.9 while kit free will become interesting. Personally, people who say that this will revive pvp because its better then clicking until one side dies, has obviously never done real pvp. There is a lot more too it then that. However, with 1.9 and the hub, new minigames will pop up making pvp 100% irrelevant on ECC.
Exactly my point. And unlike enchanting, PVP is something over 50+ people rely on for income. Also 1.9 treats players like entities. For instance, a player can push another player. If you are on minechat, or afk in spawn or any world, people can push u into portals/push you out of the safe spawn zone (i.e. Mining).
Also last I heard, the minicamps won't make money for you in the economy world(s). So PVP will still be relevant to many people.
