Suggestion:
Reduce the cooldown on free SG kits from 2 hours to 1 hour.
Reason:
I was just thinking, sure.. SOME people who see the survival games tag we have, will join SG and be satisfied with a 2 hour cooldown on the kits, and will stay to get another shot. But most people would leave.. if I was a builder, hell no, I ain't staying on some server for 2 hours just to get another crack at a big kit game. On the other hand.. 1 hour cooldown? Now we talkin! With the 50% chance of kit free games, I'd be willing to keep playing, and wait out the timer. 2 hours is just pushing it a little. I know it's been nerfed from something like 6 hours to 2 hours already, but let's be honest, 6 hours was just stupid. It was for the already active members who want to take a crack at SG every once in a while.. not for the new comers.. 2 hours was a major improvement, but a 1 hour cooldown is the solution. "Razor.. first tier of kits have a 30 minute cooldown! That's so unfair to those of us who bought kits!" Bullshit.. if you play SG consistently and have the first tier kit, 30 minute cooldown is a major improvement from a 1 hour cooldown. Nowadays, that point is even more valid because of the 50% kit free chance. I would expect to see more people stay, and try to compete with a 1 hour cooldown on the kits.

I agree with @ThatKidArshi. The original cool down of the Survival Games free kits was 6 hours, but they reduced it down to 2 hours because 6 hours was too long for the cool down. The 2 hour cool down is very generous in my opinion & if other users such as Builders want kits then they can purchase them from buycraft so that they have a reduced cool down.'

But if you're a builder that comes on looking to play SG (more builders do this than you think), are you really gonna wait out a 2 hour timer while getting destroyed by kits time and time again? 1 hour seems a lot more reasonable to me.

You play SG, how often do you see a builder, who's comes for SG, end up stick around. Rarely right? I'm not singling out anyone, I apply to this too.. but we really have to stop thinking about ourselves and think for the betterment of the server. Also, explain.. if kits aren't fair in general, as you and many have said in the past.. how on earth is it fair that buyers, who are really the only ones who play SG other than newcomers, get to kit from 30 mins - no cooldown, while builders have to wait 2 hours?! Elaborate!

Forgive me for being ever the pessimist, but I don't think it will help. It's a step in the right direction as it levels the playing field a bit more, but in all honesty it still wouldn't be enough if we had a universal 30 minute cooldown. The problem is that both 1 and 2 hours are astronomical amounts of time. Hell, even 30 minutes is, considering it takes all of about 30 seconds to hop into a kit-free SG on a minigame server of choice.
Despite the pessimism stated above, it could work. It could work, and it costs nothing, so it's worth a shot.-

Even if what you're saying is true, it will help.. at least a little. It'll buy the builders some time.. time to get to know our great community and economy based server which interested over 400 people actively about 4 years ago. I came here looking for Survival Games, and I got it, even though I was barraged with kits. I coulda just hopped onto another survival games server that I knew, which had more people.. more fair gameplay.. but I got to know the economy, the people (shoutout to @Skwisgaar1991), and now I've been here for 4 years, donated nearly 1k to the server. It will at least help a little, that's a fact.. and it has the potential to help even more than a little, like you said, it's worth a shot.

It seems as if the players who are less likely to have kits are in lower ranks. Could there not be a system where people with different ranks have a different cooldown?

ElricBellamy BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Personally, if I were looking to play sg (something I have long outgrown) I would play on a server without kits, should such a server still exist. I really don't think that many people would really come to a server that boasts being "The #1 Economy server" looking for a great sg/hg experience. That is clearly more of a side feature.
I believe builders join sg often because they constantly see people winning thousands of ecd through the broadcasted messages and think if they vote one or two times, then play sg the whole time they can rank up in no time. Then after being crushed many times and often getting upset because of the imbalance which is definitely there try something else. They then try grinding mining or farming for a few hours, don't have enough to rank up or any more patience to grind on such a server and leave simple as that. However the few that can withhold the grinding stay. -
Dude... everyone isn't like you! There are tons of builders who come here for SG, I'm around the SG board whenever I am online, people log on looking for SG because we advertise SG as a part of our server. The second paragraph is just.. ugh... you do realize that if they only come to SG because they see people winning EcoDollars, they'd play, lose and then go back to what they were doing before. That's not the case, there are people coming onto the server looking to play SG, arguably the most popular mini game in minecraft, let's not forget that.. and they leave the server altogether, because they don't stand a chance here. You're not trynna tell me a 1 hour cooldown wouldn't help with that!

Don't get upset that people aren't supporting your suggestion. Accept the criticism. Not everyone will agree with you on everything. (Apparently I failed in trying to word it so that you wouldn't say "everyone isn't like you." because that's not what I was saying at all.)

I rebuttle your point, and all of a sudden I'm upset and I can't accept criticism? Don't see the logic... This is a place where we have discussions about possible things that can be added to the server, if I didn't reply to people with my opinion, what would the point be? Have a harassed you, threatened you or just in general, said anything mean to you? No! Don't assume I'm upset because I reply to your point.

This is what I was referring too when I said everyone isn't like you. People will be willing to stay with a better chance, everyone isn't gonna shadow what you would do.
