I think Local chat and Trade chat can be left. Think about it, someone who won't stop talking in trade chat, or someone who is spamming in local chat. Or people who won't shut up in local chat. Or, when you are near spawn, like 50 noobs are asking questions that can be easily answered on the wiki.

Hm this suggestion is old and necro's but I still find it relavant. People should be able to leave every channel except Alert.
