i think many player would like the town claim inactivity to go from 6 months to something lower. for me personally if you have been offline for 3-4 months then that is a long enough period because after being inactive for a couple months your lose a crap ton of money so why not just lose your town after 4 months 180 days is a long time
Yes 4-5 months is good but 6 months is a long time many things could happen in 6 months you never know
I disagree with this suggestion. 6 months is a good period of time. Lowering the time is far more likely to hurt ECC in the longer run rather than help it. It would simply make more sense to wait for either 1)Perma ban or 2) half a year of inactivity. To top that off, there are plenty of highly inactive players already. Why make the list of towns longer? Revanrose6 TLDR - I disagree.
Periods of time for inactivity should stick to 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, etc. In other words, only in "logical" divisions, such as seasons, terms in school, etc. (I am against this suggestion - those were just examples to get the point across.) Six months is perfectly fine. It is just long enough to show that someone likely isn't coming back any time soon. Disappearing for three to five months makes sense for things keeping you busy (quarters/trimesters or semesters in school, health issues, having a baby, wedding, moving house, broken computer (yes, even for months...), and so on) and allowing for some downtime or ability to get back actively. Once it hits six months (half a year), the chance of someone coming back (remebering/even caring) likely drops greatly. My post rambled... but either way, I am against making the inactivity time less. Just have patience and wait for those "3-4" and "4-5" month inactive users to become more inactive, lol.
revanrose6, i have a question about the inactivity thing real quick. If someone is offline in game for that 5 months or so, but is active on the forums, can they still take their town?
Just think if you left for a while and you come back and your towns are gone wouldn't you be pissed? we need to make sure the mayors are not going to come back b4 towns are claimed i agree with revan.
Last year I was unable to get online whilst I was at uni, but I always had the intention to come back, and did so when I was at home. 6 months is perfectly fine, and if it had been lower then I would have risked losing my towns. I think going any lower is ridiculous and completely undermines the amount of time and effort that people put into their own towns. If I had come back and discovered that my towns had been given to somebody else after 2 years of work on them I would not be a happy bunny.
In my opinion it should be lengthened, but that isn't likely to happen. These are towns though, actual towns. If I had lost mine, I wouldn't be that happy. Imo, I'd bring it up to 8 months, just enough to really confirm, I'm not coming back.
